APPEAL for Old Printer Cartridges & Mobile Phones
May 6, 2010
THE Recycling Lives Charity is appealing for waste printer cartridges and old mobile phones to turn into revenue.
Recycling Lives is a Commercial Recycler and Social Welfare Charity that aims to provide an opportunity for disadvantaged people in our society to seek an alternative future.
It gives those down on their luck an opportunity to make a positive change for themselves through education, training and work experience.
Part of the Recycling Lives opportunity is the chance to live within a safe and secure environment, while getting the opportunity to embark on a career and getting back into the working world.
Once settled into their new home, in Essex Street, Preston Recycling Lives Residents are also supported by the Recycling Lives in-house training department SEE Social Enterprise Education and helped on to the first ladder to success.
For the Charity to continue operating year after year, it needs to create a tried and tested revenue stream.
Recycling Lives is grateful for any donation and like other charities welcomes gifts that we may sell in order to raise funds.
However, unlike other charities Recycling Lives focuses on being able to extract value from waste items that can be recycled or re-used.
So by recycling branded printer cartridges and old mobile phones, Recycling Lives will be able to extract their value to help support the Charity’s Residents in their quest for work and Independent Living.
All branded printer cartridges are accepted but unfortunately we can not recycle toner bottles, ribbons or Epson inkjet cartridges.
All mobile phone and printer cartridge donations can be brought to the reception at the Recycling Lives Centre, in Essex Street, Preston.
