Donate Items
We welcome cash donations or items that we may use within our centres such as sports equipment or bedding and we look forward to receiving your suggestions. However, Recycling Lives will also gratefully accept a range of other donations which present opportunities in which revenue can be generated to support our Charity’s objectives.
In similar fashion to Age Concern and Oxfam, Recycling Lives welcome gifts that we may sell in order to generate regular income. However, we do not wish to unsettle or compete with other charities for their established income generators, such as clothes for resale in their charity shops.
A Gift of Waste
As an alternative, Recycling Lives focus on being able to extract value from other items that can be recycled or re-used, such as old computers and scrap metal items, in fact anything at all made from any type of metal. Examples of these items could be:
- Old Scrap Cars
- Brass, Copper or Lead
- Cast Iron Baths or Metal Railings
- Unwanted Household Appliances

We understand that items like this can be cumbersome and heavy and so we are currently developing a national network of ‘collectors’ who will arrange removal from your home or workplace. If you have an item that you think could be of interest please email uk.info@recyclinglives.org with further details.
Our Charity Residents will also take on larger jobs such as factory clearance or machinery dismantling for commercial organisations. By considering this option businesses will be practicing additional Corporate Social Responsibility and have an opportunity to create good public relations. Please email uk.info@recyclinglives.org or read more information about CSR engagement with Recycling Lives.
