Partners
Our partners play an important part in the journey of each Resident. Each partnership is as unique as our Residents, and each partner is as valuable.
We wouldn’t be able to support our Residents on their journey back to independent living without the contribution of our partners.
Regional Development Agencies
Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) have the responsibility of improving the quality of life of people within their region.
They work alongside organisations such as Recycling Lives to make the changes needed.
We have already received funding from an RDA, as they understood the impact that Recycling Lives could have on the people in society that need this opportunity the most.
We are working with development agencies to:
- develop the skills of unemployed in order to build a skilled and educated workforce
- enhance the quality of life for formerly homeless in need of the opportunities we offer
- build stronger communities by integrating Residents back into society
We receive ongoing support and advice in order to aid the development and the expansion of our solution to fundamental problems in our society.
Registered Providers (social landlords)
By engaging with Recycling Lives, a Registered Provider (formerly known as Registered Social Landlords) has the opportunity to address some of the key recommendations outlined in the Hills Report into Social Housing and the key agenda’s of government.
Recycling Lives offers a solution in the areas of:
- Tackling worklessness
- Reducing homelessness
- Improving the environment
- Stimulating economic growth
- Encouraging CSR
RP’s work with Recycling Lives at all stages of the Residents journey through Recycling Lives. We accept referrals from current RP tenants, and RP’s offer move-on accommodation to our Residents once they have gained a full time job and adequate life skills.
As an employer of a diverse workforce, an RP has the opportunity to play a part in offering quality work experience placements to our Residents, and full time employment.
There are many opportunities for joint working with Recycling Lives. A partnership between Recycling Lives and an Registered Provider has a wide reaching effect, on individuals and the wider community.
Referral partners
Recycling Lives works with a range of agencies and partners to ensure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to take control of their future with Recycling Lives.
How it works
- The referral partners use our entry criteria to determine that Recycling Lives is appropriate for their candidate; and to ensure that the candidate is appropriate for Recycling Lives.
- They then complete an application form with the candidate, providing as much information as possible about their situation. This form is treated confidentially by all concerned.
- The application is then submitted to our Referral Panel for assessment; the panel is made up of representatives from our Referral Partners and Local Authorities.
- Successful candidates are then invited to Recycling Lives for a preview of our facilities, during this time further information is gathered by our staff.
- Subject to suitability, the candidate is then offered the opportunity to become a Resident of Recycling Lives.
