Alan

A father of one, Alan came to Recycling Lives searching for an opportunity to provide for his girlfriend and baby son.

After being evicted from a flat he shared with his mum, Alan struggled to find anywhere to stay and was facing a life of homelessness. He had no job and nowhere to call his own.

Alan quickly settled in to the Recycling Lives community and worked hard to take full advantage of the education, training and work experience opportunities on offer. He quickly secured full time employment with Recycling Lives’ corporate partner, Safe Installations and now works in a small team, setting up surveillance cameras in business and domestic properties.

A popular member of the Recycling Lives Football Club, Alan has also managed to secure a home for himself and his girlfriend.

Alan said: “Recycling Lives gave me the confidence to try my hand at something new. I love working here and I have made many new friends.

I am currently saving money so that I can get an even better house for my family in the future.”
