Skip 2 It

Skip 2 It events are an innovative and successful initiative that gives local people the opportunity to dispose of bulky waste they have stored in their homes, yards and gardens.

We work alongside local authorities and communities to deliver these events, which in turn raise much needed income for the charity.

The Skip 2 It Process

The Skip 2 It events are a simple process – we provide the skips and help local people fill them with their waste and unwanted items. Once full, the skip is brought back to the depot, where the waste is sorted and reused or recycled.

Earned Income

Residents understand that the charity directly earns income from these events, and work hard to fill as many skips as possible.

Everybody involved recognises and respects the effort put in to secure this income.

Working with the Community

In addition to generating income for the charity, Skip 2 It events give our Residents an opportunity to interact with the local community and engage in positive activities to help improve the area.

For someone who has lived on the outskirts of society this positive interaction can be crucial in making them feel a part of a community.
