Dan – Supper’s Up
Dan and his young family have been coming along to Supper’s Up every Wednesday since it launched.
He’d originally reached out to our Food Redistribution Centre in the hopes of getting a food parcel, and has since had much more than just regular hot meals.
He said: “Supper’s Up allows me to breathe on a Wednesday, instead of wondering where my next meal will come from. I’ve been coming with my girlfriend and children since it opened and it’s a lifeline.
“It’s a really welcoming, warm atmosphere – everyone knows us all by our names. Naomi obviously works really hard on this and seems to care about every person who walks through that door. I have never seen a soup kitchen like it, where I can basically get all my needs met in one place.
“I’ve benefitted from all the support on offer – hot meals, food parcels, and signposting too. I’m now working with the Charity doing a traffic management course.
“My life has been moving forward since connecting with Recycling Lives Charity and all that started with Supper’s Up.”
