Adrian Murphy, Recycling Lives Services
Recycling Lives Services is our longest-standing employer partner. It employs ex-offenders through our rehabilitation programmes, manages some of its waste electrical recycling through our seven prison-based workshops, and makes regular donations to support our Food Redistribution Centre. We support the business to deliver its own ROTL programme too, employing men on day release from HMP Haverigg.
“At Recycling Lives Services, we use our business as a force for good,” says Adrian Murphy, Group CEO.
“We’re proud of our roots in helping to establish and nurture the Charity and Social Enterprise and continue to support its programmes by creating work opportunities and giving back to communities.
“Working in partnership with the Charity supports our business in a couple of different ways.
“Processing waste electricals in the Charity’s prison workshops expands our own site operations to process more materials. Offering ‘day release’ and full-time work opportunities to ex-offenders helps us to recruit great people. And donating to the food redistribution work across Cumbria allows us to give back to communities.
“In this way, we’re delivering services that change lives.”
