We have three exciting vacancies to join our team:

 

Role: Food Redistribution Warehouse Operative (part-time). Location: Preston, Lancashire.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our Food Redistribution team. The right candidate will hold a full UK driving licence and Forklift Truck counterbalance licence, and have strong communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities & Role overview: Assisting with maintaining and managing stock levels and loading and unloading vehicles, in order to get food out to community groups. Working alongside other staff and a wide range of volunteers, and engaging with the drivers delivering goods, or members collecting food.

Role: Academy Manager (full-time). Location: HMP Styal, Cheshire

This is an opportunity to really change lives – managing one of our prison-based workshops and mentoring people seeking to turn their lives around. Our prison-based workshops – HMP Academies – offer serving prisoners opportunities to develop transferable skills, real-world work experience and earn an enhanced wage. Academy Managers oversee operations day-to-day, guiding and mentoring participants as they work on commercial contracts. They are integral to the wrap-around, through-the-gate support that helps us to reduce reoffending rates to <5% each year.

Responsibilities & Role overview: Our ideal candidate will be compassionate and organised, able to motivate and empower people while running a busy workshop. In-date NOMS vetting and a Forklift Truck licence are desirable, but not essential – National Offender Management Service (NOMS) vetting will need to be applied for.

Role: Academy Workshop Support (full-time). Location: Preston, Lancashire + covering other workshops nationally

This opportunity is ideal for someone who is compassionate and hands-on to use their skills to make a difference for people leaving prison and entering the world of work. They will work across our prison- and community-based workshops, managing and mentoring participants.

Responsibilities & Role overview: The right candidate will be able to motivate and empower people. They will participate in dismantling, loading and unloading goods, managing stock levels, and working alongside participants within the workshops. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with participants, prison or community contacts, and colleagues within the Charity. Please note: National Offender Management Service (NOMS) vetting will need to be applied for.
