“I put my life in Recycling Lives’ hands, trusting them to help me build a new life.
“I was in limbo last time I ended up in prison. Life had spiralled since I left the Army and I was addicted to drugs and committing crimes just to feed that habit. I’d lost everything – my home, my partner, my family.
“I was ready to change my life but I had no motivation or direction to do so until I met the team from Recycling Lives.
“I’d worked in prison before but this was different because of the opportunities it gave me. I learned so much and I started to get more confident and got off prescriptions.
“I moved into the residential charity on release and carried on working and learning and growing.
“Now I’m a crane driver. I love my job! I’ve settled down, got my own home and my family are proud of me and now I’m starting a family of my own.
“I couldn’t have asked for anything better.”
