Two TV appearances for Recycling Lives Charity

July 2021

Our work has been shared with communities across the country in two primetime TV slots.

Our impact in tackling reoffending, homelessness, unemployment and poverty was held up as an example of a life-changing social enterprise on both Channel 4 and ITV.

In Kathy Burke: Money Talks, our work was used as an example of supporting people to lift themselves out of poverty and the difference that opportunity can make for individuals, families and communities. The programme explored society’s pursuit of wealth and peoples’ relationships with money.

The actress and comedian visited our head offices and residential facility in summer 2020 before the footage aired on Channel 4 in early July.

In the same week, a regional broadcaster covered our work, in a standalone piece. Granada Reports had visited us in late June, meeting with our team and participants to hear about our work and impact working with ex-offenders and men facing homelessness.

Reporter Sarah Rogers spoke with Steve (pictured above, left), Andy and Ian – all former participants of our residential programme – about their experiences and the difference our support has made to their lives.
